Standard kitchen (roughly 25–30 doors and drawers), single color, solid prep, two sprayed finish coats, existing hardware reinstalled.
Better — Custom Coastal Finish
$3,400 – $4,500
Most clients choose this. Upgraded prep, interior of open shelving or glass fronts, new hardware coordination, and a full color consultation.
Best — Signature Intrepid Finish
$4,500 – $6,500+
Large or two-tone kitchens, islands in a contrasting color, added trim detail, adjoining walls and ceiling, and full design consult with concept boards.

How the job runs

In-home walkthrough
We open every door, check the substrate — wood, thermofoil, laminate, or previously painted — and tell you honestly whether refinishing is the right call.
- 02
Color and written scope
Samples on your actual doors, hardware and sheen decided, and a written scope with a fixed price. No surprise line items.
- 03
Degrease, sand, prime
Full degreasing, mechanical sanding, and a bonding primer. This is the step that decides whether a cabinet finish lasts two years or ten.
- 04
Spray, cure, reinstall
Multiple sprayed coats, proper cure time, then doors rehung, hardware set, bumpers on, and a labeled touch-up kit left behind.

- How much does cabinet refinishing cost in Sussex County?
- Most standard Sussex County kitchens land between $2,800 and $4,500. Larger kitchens, two-tone color schemes, and islands in a contrasting finish typically run $4,500 to $6,500 or more. Every project is quoted in writing after an in-home walkthrough — we do not price cabinets sight unseen.

- How long does it take?
- A standard kitchen is typically five to eight working days from start to reinstall, including cure time between coats. Larger or two-tone kitchens run a little longer. We give you the schedule in writing before we start.
- Can you paint laminate or thermofoil cabinets?
- Often, yes — with the right bonding primer and honest expectations. Peeling thermofoil is the one case where we will tell you to replace the doors instead. We would rather lose the job than put a finish over a failing surface.
- What paint do you use on cabinets?
- Sherwin-Williams Emerald Urethane Trim Enamel, sprayed. It levels out smooth and cures to a hard, washable finish that holds up to daily use in a coastal kitchen.
- Will my kitchen be usable while you work?
- Mostly. Doors and drawer fronts leave for spraying, and cabinet boxes are coated in place with containment and dust control. You will lose the doors for several days, not the kitchen.
